My time in college was an era of personal growth and self-discovery. It’s there that I found a place to reflect and explore my principles, interests, and objectives.
I’ve learned to define myself and find my purpose due to in-depth conversations, challenging social conventions, and research on new ideas. Ultimately, my time in college proved to be life-changing and overall, an enriching experience molding me into a well-rounded person. I appreciate the experiences, friendships, and personal and academic development this environment has provided me.
My family and I express our sincerest gratitude to Dinapigue Mining Corporation (DMC) for granting me the Development of Mining Technology (DMTG) scholarship grant through its Social Development and Management Program (SDMP).
I feel immensely blessed and humbled to have been chosen to receive this distinguished scholarship. Beyond easing my family’s financial load, the scholarship grant from DMC has given me newfound hope and the drive to finish my education.
I am an advocate for the importance of education and its unlimited potential to change one’s life for the better and I experienced this myself through DMC’s kindness, unwavering support, and belief in my potential.
In finishing my degree in BS Mining Engineering, I learned that the mining sector can both promote environmental development while supporting economic growth and more importantly, promote the welfare of communities by engaging in ethical and sustainable mining practices.
I can proudly say that I am one of the products of responsible leadership and responsible mining which the company proudly advocates and that I will do my part to embody the principles of responsible mining toward serving the nation, our people, and the environment.
