Dinapigue Mining Corporation (DMC) has supported the outreach program conducted by the Adamson University Mining Engineering and Geology Students Association (AUMEGA) for the children of Hospicio de San Jose.

The generosity of Dinapigue Mining, along with support from YAMAN Philippines and the Association of Geologists and Geological Engineers of Mapua, made this program possible.

In April 2024, the Outreach Committee, in collaboration with officers and volunteers from AUMEGA, conducted an enlightening and joyful event for the children of Hospicio de San Jose to introduce the wonders of geosciences and mining.

This outreach initiative, titled "Project Maboooth-i: Organizational Booths for the Children of Hospicio de San Jose," was spearheaded by Ms. Julia Cassandra Morena and Kyla D. Hina.

“The event offered a holistic, educational, and fun-filled experience, thanks to the collaborative efforts of various partners,” said Morena.

AUMEGA extends heartfelt gratitude to their adviser, Ralph Zaballero, whose unwavering support and guidance were instrumental in the resounding success of the program.

“The dedication of all volunteers and staff involved played a pivotal role in sparking curiosity and joy among the children,” said Zaballero.

The program embodies the spirit of social responsibility and the Vincentian values of charity and dedication to the marginalized, inspiring Kabatos to seek opportunities to make a positive impact.

“Special thanks are due to the children and organizers from Hospicio de San Jose for their enthusiastic participation and for providing this opportunity to give back to the community,” said Hina.

AUMEGA looks forward to continuing such initiatives, fostering a love for science and community service among the youth.
