Cagdianao Mining Corporation (CMC) threw its support to mental well-being initiatives by sponsoring the activity of Valencia National High School on School-based Mental Health and Psychosocial Support for Learners in Barangay Valencia.

This is to improve the mental well-being and coping mechanism for young individuals in host and neighboring communities during difficult times of the onslaught of typhoon Odette.

Graced by OIC-Resident Mine Manager Christian Jae R. Gascon, duly represented by the Community Relations and Development Manager Rudilyn H. Velasco and ComRel Supervisor Mary Jean Litang, the event was facilitated by the dynamic faculty and staff of the school.

The school has responded to the needs of young learners to undergo a series of discussions on mental health and stress management, as they were not spared from the psychological trauma brought by the destructive typhoon.

Through the Social Development and Management Program, CMC committed to fund similar activities to help community residents recover fully from the difficult and challenging impacts of natural calamities.
