Representatives from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 2 went on a cross-visit to Rio Tuba Nickel Mining Corporation (RTNMC) last June 14, 2023.
Headed by Regional Executive Director Gwendolyn Bambalan, the group visited the RTNMC mine site to see how it effectively implemented the Rehabilitation and National Greening Program for over 50 years.
Region 2 is home to RTN’s sister company Dinapigue Mining Corporation (DMC).
The DENR Region 2 representatives would like to know if Nickel Asia Corporation (NAC) could also implement its “responsible mining” trademark on DMC.
