In demonstrating its commitment to the responsible stewardship of the country’s natural resources, the Dinapigue Mining Corporations (DMC) received ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System) certification from ISO certifying body NQA (National Quality Assurance) on July 15.
“The Dinapigue Mining Corporation has successfully complied with the environmental and regulatory standards for the recertification of its ISO 14001:2015 accreditation,” said NQA CEO & General Manager Rannie Bernardino during the closing meeting.
DENR Department Administrative Order (DAO) 2015-07 mandates that all mineral agreements and permit holders must secure ISO 14001 certification as a pre-requisite for the issuance of environment compliance certificates (ECCs) and ore transport permits.
DMC’s ISO recertification proves that the company takes the necessary steps to ensure that its mining operations are compliant with the regulations and standards set by the government as well as international standards.
