On August 6, 2024, Cagdianao Mining Corporation (CMC) took a significant step toward empowering local entrepreneurs by facilitating Basic Bookkeeping Training for 16 beneficiaries of its Family-Based Enterprise program.

In collaboration with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Dinagat Islands, the training aimed to enhance participants' financial management skills, equipping them with tools for better record-keeping and informed financial decision-making.

Led by DTI experts, the hands-on session covered key bookkeeping topics such as tracking income and expenses, managing cash flow, and preparing basic financial reports. These skills are critical for small business owners, particularly those running family-based enterprises, as they help ensure the long-term sustainability and growth of their businesses.

This initiative reflects CMC’s ongoing commitment to the economic development of its host and neighboring communities. By equipping local entrepreneurs with essential financial knowledge, the company is not only supporting the growth of individual enterprises but also fostering a stronger, more resilient local economy.

Beyond immediate financial literacy improvements, the training lays the groundwork for a sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem. CMC’s efforts align with its broader community development objectives, aiming to create lasting, positive change in the lives of its stakeholders.

Through programs like this, CMC continues to invest in the future of local businesses, empowering individuals with the skills they need to thrive and contribute to the overall development of their communities.
