Hinatuan Mining Corp. (HMC) planted a total of 300 economically important species of Giant Bamboo (Dendrocalamus asper) and Kawayan tinik (Bambusa blumeana) at Area 2 mined-out area in HMC mine site. A total of 62 employees participated in the Bamboo planting activity covering an area of 1 hectare. The activity was conducted in support to the Bamboo Month 2021 celebration and as part of the advocacy of HMC as an environmentally-responsible mining operation.
