Nickel Asia Corporation (NAC) has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing healthcare in the Philippines by making a substantial donation of P50 million to the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

This generous contribution was announced during the awarding ceremony of the 2nd MBZ Cup at the prestigious Manila Golf Club, further demonstrating NAC's dedication to supporting public health initiatives.

Dr. Carmencita Padilla, a National Scientist and former Chancellor of the University of the Philippines-Manila, emphasized the importance of this donation.

“I’ve been asked many times what a million can do and what a hundred million can do,” she remarked. “Every peso counts. However, a hundred million can set up labs for discovering innovation because health problems will always be present; they will never end.”

Dr. Padilla urged attendees to view the donation as an investment in the health of the Filipino people.

“I hope we can continue to inspire you to help us because we need all the assistance we can get to ensure that we can help the Filipino people,” she stressed, underscoring the ongoing battle against health challenges in the country.

This partnership between NAC and the NIH marks a significant step forward in addressing public health issues, fostering innovation, and improving healthcare services across the Philippines.

By supporting the NIH, Nickel Asia Corporation is not just donating but championing a healthier and brighter future for all Filipinos.
