In a vibrant celebration of National Women's Month, our Women in Mining organization collaborated with the women of Barangay Valencia and Boa to honor the vital contributions of women in both the community and the workforce.

Engr. Glase F. Rabi, Mine Operations Manager, opened the event by emphasizing women’s profound impact on families and the broader workforce.

"Women bring diverse skills and invaluable contributions to our community," she noted, instilling a sense of pride in their remarkable achievements.

Building on this theme, Engr. Christian Jae R. Gascon, Resident Mine Manager, spoke passionately about the event’s theme, "Kakayahan ng Kababaihan, Patutunayan," as he highlighted CMC’s commitment to recognizing and supporting women’s contributions both within the organization and in the community. “We believe in providing equal opportunities for women,” he affirmed, reinforcing that women’s capabilities are on par with those of men in all operational aspects.

The atmosphere was charged with energy as participants engaged in a Zumba exercise led by the Women in Mining officers, promoting health and camaraderie among attendees.

In a testament to CMC’s dedication to environmental stewardship, participants also took part in planting 1,000 earth-balled seedlings at Rehab Area 16.

Through these collaborative endeavors, CMC is not only fostering a culture of empowerment but also ensuring that women’s voices and contributions are celebrated and recognized in every facet of community and corporate life.
