Cagdianao Mining Corporation has joined the celebration of Philippine Environment Month by supporting the 3rd Environmental Youth Camp in Brgy. Puerto Prinsesa, Basilisa, Dinagat Islands.
An Operating Company of Nickel Asia Corporation (NAC), CMC together with Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) Regional Office XIII and Caraga Pollution Control Officers, Inc (CAPCO), travelled to Brgy. Puerto Prinsesa on June 15-16 to hold a series of activities in celebration of the Environment Month.
The activities during the two-day celebration include lectures on environment protection, environment forum, poster making, signing on the commitment wall, Mangrove planting and "panaad sa kinaiyahan" ceremonial night.
It was in 2019, before the COVID 19 pandemic, that CMC started supporting Brgy. Puerto Prinsesa for their unwavering and heartfelt love for the environment.
Barangay Chairman Leonardo L. Castulo expressed his gratitude to all facilitators and mining sponsors for the extended support to the barangay and his constituents.
“With these kind of activities, I with hope that a brighter and greener future will be passed on to the next generation,” said Castulo.
