Cagdianao Mining Corporation (CMC) paid almost P3 million in taxes and regulatory fees to Cagdianao, Dinagat Islands.
CMC Resident Mine Manager Engr. Arnilo C. Milaor together with Ms. Rudilyn Velasco, Community Relations Manager turned over the P1,730,927.32 in real property tax to the local government of Cagdianao.
The amount was received by Municipal Mayor Adolfo E. Longos, Acting Municipal Treasurer Marivic Acquiatan, Municipal Accountant Jackelou M. Garay, and Municipal Private Secretary Glenda Menil on March 26, 2021 at the Municipal Hall of Cagdianao.
Apart from the property tax, Milaor also turned over the P1.2 million check to the Provincial Treasurer's Office of the Province of Dinagat Islands as full payment to the Regulatory Fees of last year’s mining operations.
The amount is expected to help boost and develop the local economy of Cagdianao, a third class Municipality in the Province of Dinagat Islands.
