The kickoff motorcade was done at Barangay Digumased in Dinapigue, Isabela on March 1 to promote Fire Prevention Month which is being celebrated every March by the virtue of Presidential Proclamation Number 115-A.
On March 21 to 25, BFP also conducted a 5-day Basic Life Support and Firefighting training program at the DMC Main Camp participated by members of the DMC Emergency Response Team (ERT) and interested employees.
The program aims to provide the DMC ERT with the skills necessary to be able to effectively save lives in the event of an emergency by equipping them with the necessary first aid and rescue techniques.
“Ang goal ng Safety Department is to prevent injury and occupational illnesses para makamtan natin iyong goal natin na maging ligtas tayo sa trabaho at umuwi tayo nang ligtas sa ating mga bahay,” said Safety Manager Annabel Escalante.
Escalante also expressed her gratitude to Fire Superintendent Aristotle Atal and SF03 Angel Ceralde, and instructors of BFP.
“Maraming salamat sa ating butihin at magagaling na BFP sa pamumuno ni Fire Superintendent Aristotle Atal at SF03 Angel Ceralde at sa ating mga instructor,” she said.
Since 2019, the BFP has been DMC's partner in Fire Safety and Prevention and has been the company's trainer in firefighting for its Emergency Response Team which won 2nd Place at the Regional Fire Olympics in 2019.
