DMC inaugurates diversion road in Dinapigue

Dinapigue Mining Corporation (DMC), a subsidiary of natural resources development company Nickel Asia Corporation (NAC), has inaugurated its diversion road leading to its Mine Production Sharing Agreement (MPSA) Area near Barangay Digumased in Dinapigue, Isabela.

Engineer Edwin R. Casiano, DMC OIC – Resident Mine Manager, delivered the opening remarks during the inauguration wherein he welcomed the government officials along with the Road Right of Way claimants who were present during the event.

NAC Chief Operating Officer Engineer Arnilo C. Milaor said the alternate road “is a huge step towards the full operations of the company and with this, we will be able to address DMC’s transportation needs and in turn, help people create more income, create more jobs, and better assist with the development of sustainable communities here in Dinapigue.”

He also announced that the honorarium request of the Municipal Hospital for its six additional nurses has also been approved, bringing the said health facility closer to government accreditation.

“It is through partnerships like these that hand-in-hand, we will bring progress and sustainable development to the municipality of Dinapigue,” Milaor added.

Dinapigue Mayor Vicente Mendoza, who was also present during the event, acknowledged the importance of the said project not only to DMC but to the community as well.

“We can see how the diversion road will not just benefit the company with regard to its operational needs, but the community at large especially those engaged in businesses like agriculture and quarrying,” said Mayor Mendoza.

The program concluded with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to formally inaugurate the road followed by a separate program at the DMC Mine Site for the company’s official commencement of its mining season.
