Nickel Asia Corporation turned-over the fishing boat to CAMFISA in support to its fish processing center.

Amounting to P3.5 million, the fishing boat was acquired through the Social Development and Management Program (SDMP) of HMC.

The donation of the deep-sea fishing boat was part of the commitment of HMC to contribute to a brighter future of the people and of the communities.

The beneficiary, CAMFISA, is operating a fish processing center, and will be able to use the fishing boat for its dried fish and bottled fish production.

The dried fish and bottled fish production project is also initiated by HMC as part of its SDMP.

With the newly turned-over deep-sea fishing boat, CAMFISA will no longer be solely relying on the catches of the fishermen for their fish supply.

Hinaut unta padajun lang ang suporta sa Hinatuan Mining sa amoa (Thank you very much for giving us another blessing. I hope that Hinatuan Mining will continue supporting us).”

Resuera was also thankful to CAMFISA members for their support of the project, “I also commend CAMFISA Chairman Madraga for his leadership. He is already a proven and tested leader when it comes to projects and activities.”

“Each CAMFISA member also played important roles in the successes of the previous projects and activities initiated by HMC,” he added.

Resuera reminded CAMFISA to take care of the deep-fishing boat and maximize its use.

CAMFISA Chairman Madraga added, “Ang amo plano sa fishing boat kay kung naa isda nga dili kaau dagku, diri sa amoa fish dryer ug pwede pud sa amo bottled fish production (Our plan with the fishing boat is when we catch fish that are not that big, we will utilize it for our fish dryer and our bottled fish production ).”

Resuera further reminded CAMFISA members and officers that teamwork is vital in the success of an organization.

“You will not succeed without teamwork. It is very hard to run an organization by yourself. I hope that you will continue working together for the success not only of this project but also of your organization,” he said.
