The Women’s Association of Brgy. Sapa, Bataraza showcased their delicious local products at the Labor Day Job Fair organized by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) MIMAROPA at SM Puerto Princesa City on May 1.

Supported by the Rio Tuba Nickel Mining Corporation (RTNMC) through its Social Development and Management Program (SDMP), the initiative has empowered the women of Sapa to create products that resonate with the tastes of the local market.
The eye-catching packaging of their snacks reflects not only their dedication to quality but also their commitment to making a meaningful impact in their community.
This year’s job fair, themed "Sa Bagong Pilipinas: Manggagawang Pilipino, Kabalikat at Kasama sa Pag-asenso," aimed to provide opportunities for citizens to secure employment or market their products.
By participating, the women of Sapa demonstrated their resolve to contribute to the local economy and promote their culinary creations.
In addition to the job fair, RTNMC employees participated in the “Walk For A Cause” at Puerto Princesa Baywalk, celebrating the hard work and sacrifices of Filipino workers.

Through these initiatives, the Sapa Women’s Association not only highlighted their culinary talents but also reinforced the spirit of community and collaboration that drives progress in the region.
As they continue to promote their products, they embody the resilience and creativity of Filipino workers, contributing to the growth and prosperity of their communities.
