In a significant boost to education in Barangay Taganito in Claver, Surigao del Norte, Taganito Mining Corporation (TMC) officially inaugurated a new two-story, four-classroom building at Taganito National High School (TNHS), valued at P18.5 million.

This initiative is part of TMC's ongoing Social Development and Management Program aimed at supporting the local community.

The turnover ceremony was attended by key stakeholders, including Department of Education (DepEd) executives led by Schools Division Superintendent Manuel O. Caberte and Public Schools District Supervisor Julieta Erazo.

Local government representatives were also present, with the Taganito Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) headed by Punong Barangay Emy Mahomoc and Claver LGU represented by Vice Mayor Leah Patan.

The TNHS faculty, led by Principal Marites Rule, joined TMC management, including Mine Operations Division Manager Engr. Robert T. Francisco and Community Relations Manager Mark Vincent Junel E. Felias.

Mrs. Rule expressed her gratitude to TMC for its donation, stating, "This generous contribution will greatly enhance our students' learning environments."

The new school building will serve as a vital resource for senior high classes, enhancing educational opportunities for students in the area.

This development reflects TMC’s commitment to fostering community growth and improving access to quality education, ensuring that local youth are well-prepared for their futures.
