Taganito Mining Corporation (TMC) and Taganito HPAL Nickel Corporation (THPAL) have turned over a check worth over P21 million to the officials of the Department of Education in Surigao del Norte.
Taganito Mining Corporation (TMC) and Taganito HPAL Nickel Corporation (THPAL) have turned over a check worth over P21 million to the officials of the Department of Education in Surigao del Norte.
TMC Resident Mine Manager Aloysius C. Diaz said the amount will be allocated for the construction of the new campus for Taganito National High School (TNHS) in Claver.
The check was received by Dr. Fidela M. Rosas, Schools Division Superintendent and Dr. Elena M. Navallo, Schools District Supervisor.
Dr. Rosas thanked TMC and THPAL for providing financial assistance for the construction and relocation of TNHS.
“Soon makit-an diri sa Taganito one of the best schools in Asia, ang TNHS,” said Dr. Rosas in sharing her vision for the school.
“Salamat sa dalawang mining company at sa mga opisyal ng barangay na nagtulong-tulong sa pagbibigay ng pondo para sa konstruksiyon ng paaralan,” she said.
The new campus provision was part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of the two mining companies.
