Celebrities grace 143rd Tagana-an fiesta celebration

Tagana-an’s splendor and festive atmosphere was once again exhibited during the celebration of its 143rd fiesta in honor of their patron saint, Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

The fiesta of Tagana-an is being celebrated during the 16th of July.

As part of the activities of this year’s fiesta celebration, Hinatuan Mining Corporation (HMC), an affiliate of Nickel Asia Corporation (NAC) sponsored the performances of Shamrock Band and comedians Dental Diva Kakai Bautista, Mashup Diva Ate Gay, Bouncer Diva Yvonna and Mico Aytona on the 15th and 16th of July at the Tagana-an Municipal Sports Complex.

This is the second year that HMC has been the sponsor of the fiesta performances. In 2018, South Border, Crystal Paras of Eat Bulaga Battle of the Bands, and Comic Divas from ABS-CBN Showtime Maja Kubrador, Donut, Felicity and Celine were the guests invited to perform.

On the evening of July 15, 2019, Shamrock performed its well-known hits Alipin, Haplos, Nandito Lang Ako, Sana and Ngiti among many others.

On the following night, Local Government Unit (LGU) and Parish Night was held at the Tagana-an Municipal Sports Complex.

It was during this time that comedians Kakai, Ate Gay, Yvonna and Mico entertained the local residents and guests of Tagana-an.

Kakai started the show through displaying her amazing vocal skills by belting out famous local and foreign songs.

Her performance was followed by Ate Gay who performed with a mashup of several famous foreign and local songs to the delight of the audience.

Ate Gay, Yvonna and Mico also engaged with the crowd during their performances.

For Ate Gay, a gentleman in the audience was selected as her partner in her “music video presentation” that elicited laughter from the attendees of the LGU and Parish Night.

Single ladies from the crowd were also invited to take part in the performance of Mico. They were encouraged to provide their pick-up lines and the winner was then serenaded by Aytona afterwards.

Disco activity facilitated by Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish of Tagana-an followed after the performances of the comedians.
