HMC donates brand new ambulance to Tagana-an

A brand new Toyota Hi Ace Commuter ambulance with complete accessories was given by Hinatuan Mining Corporation (HMC) to the Municipality of Tagana-an in Surigao del Norte.

The donation, worth ₱ 1.2 million, was made possible through the 2019 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds of HMC.

The ambulance will help in solving emergency transport problems of the Municipality that has 14 barangays and will also aid in boosting the medical services provided by Tagana-an Municipal Health Office.

It was turned over to the municipality last July 15 during the 143rdcelebration of the Municipality’s fiesta.

Present during the ceremony were HMC representatives headed by Resident Mine Manager Francisco J. Arañes, Municipal Local Government Unit of Tagana-an led by Mayor Cesar B. Diaz Jr. and Vice Mayor Cesar A. Diaz, and their Sangguniang Bayan members, and staff and personnel of Tagana-an Municipal Health Office.

Mayor Diaz expressed his gratitude to HMC for its donation, “I am thankful to HMC for the donation of one unit of brand new Toyota Hi Ace Commuter Ambulance with complete accessories.”

The addition of the ambulance, he added, will not only be helpful to the Municipality but it will be very beneficial to the residents of Tagana-an.

“Our Municipality has an ambulance, but the addition of this ambulance from HMC is much appreciated. Thank you very much HMC,” he added.

Likewise, Tagana-an Vice Mayor Diaz Sr. also values the ambulance donation of HMC.

As part of his message during the DepEd program held at the at the Tagana-an Municipal Sports Complex, he said that the ambulance will be of great help to Tagana-anons.

“I hope that the support provided by HMC to our Municipality will not waver. If you remember, HMC has also donated a fire truck to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Tagana-an last 2017. As government officials we were able to provide better service to all our constituents through the help of HMC,” he added.
