This mission is a vital part of HMC's 2024 Annual Social Development and Management Program (SDMP), which prioritizes health and wellness within its surrounding communities.

By addressing critical health needs, HMC aims to improve the quality of life and foster a healthier environment for residents.

The mission was made possible through a strong partnership with the Provincial Health Office (PHO) of Surigao del Norte and the Municipal Health Office of Tagana-an.

This collaboration not only broadened the range of services offered but also ensured that the specific health requirements of the local population were met effectively.

Leading the charge was Dr. Oliver Dennis O. Lao, HMC’s Admin Manager and Company Physician, who was joined by Dr. Maria Isabel B. Makinano, Provincial Health Officer II from PHO Surigao del Norte.

They worked alongside a dedicated team of medical professionals, including Dr. Jezil Romeo Bertulfo, Dr. Nikko Miras, and Janeth B. Navarro, a Rural Health Midwife. Nurses from both HMC and the Rural Health Unit, along with the Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) from the host communities, played essential roles in facilitating the mission's success.
