Hinatuan Mining Corporation (HMC) has partnered with the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Barangay Talavera in a significant stride toward fostering community well-being.

The mining company has committed to providing logistical support for Barangay Talavera's essential rice distribution program, a crucial initiative aimed at alleviating food insecurity in the local community.

This collaboration underscores HMC's dedication to corporate social responsibility, with the funding for this initiative drawn from its 2024 CSR budget.

By channeling resources into this vital program, HMC aims to support the Barangay's efforts in ensuring that no family goes hungry and to contribute to the broader goal of community resilience and self-sufficiency.

"Our support extends beyond financial aid. We are actively involved in the operational aspects, facilitating efficient logistics to streamline the distribution process," said Engr. Francisco J. Arañes, Jr., HMC Resident Mine Manager.

"This involvement ensures that the rice reaches those in need promptly and effectively, reinforcing our shared vision of a stronger, more supported Barangay Talavera," he added.

Together with the BLGU, HMC is working towards a future where corporate partnerships and local government initiatives coalesce to create lasting, positive impacts in the lives of residents.

"This initiative is more than just a program; it's a testament to what can be achieved when businesses and local governments unite for the common good," said Barangay Talavera Chairman Pedrito B. Alsong.
