In a spirited effort to support local education, employees of Hinatuan Mining Corporation (HMC), alongside members of the HMC Pride Society, actively participated in the Brigada Eskwela 2024 activities at Talavera Elementary School and Talavera National High School.
This initiative is part of HMC’s broader commitment to community engagement through its 2024 ONE NAC Brigada program.
During the event, Dr. Manuel O. Caberte, CESE, Officer-in-Charge of the Surigao del Norte Division of the Department of Education, received essential items from HMC representatives, demonstrating the company’s dedication to supporting educational initiatives.
The resources provided are part of HMC's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, highlighting the organization’s commitment to creating a better learning environment for students.
In addition to the donated materials, HMC also extended financial assistance to the faculty and staff of Talavera Elementary School (TES) and Talavera National High School (TNHS) to support their upcoming Brigada Eskwela activities. This funding is crucial as the schools prepare for the new academic year, ensuring that students will have a welcoming and well-equipped environment for learning.
Talavera Elementary School and Talavera National High School are among the seven schools adopted by HMC in its host communities, reflecting the company’s continued commitment to educational development and community support.
Through initiatives like Brigada Eskwela, HMC is not only investing in physical infrastructure but also in the future of the youth in the area, fostering a spirit of collaboration that enhances the overall educational landscape.
